Judith Huang’s first novel, Sofia and the Utopia Machine, was shortlisted for the Epigram Book Fiction Prize 2017 and the Singapore Book Awards 2019. A three-time winner of the Foyle Young Poet of the Year Award, she graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in English and American Literature and Language and works as a writer, editor and translator. She taught writing at Yale-NUS College and is working on her second novel, and is currently taking her International MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Literary Translation. She has translated four books of Chinese poetry by Cultural Medallion winner Yeng Pway Ngon as well as other writers for the National Library Board and Asymptote. She has published in Prairie Schooner, Asia Literary Review, QLRS, Cha, Asymptote. She is currently based between Singapore and Australia and counts knitting, coding and bunny-minding as her hobbies.
