Katheryn is a native of Southern California; a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles; a former aspiring Brazilianist (a non-Brazilian academic whose field of research focuses on Brazil); an Anglophile and Francophile; and a lover of the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

She is writing the second draft of an alternate history novel set in the world of British politics from 1912 to 1948. It is about a willful and impetuous aristocratic Englishwoman who has an affair with the British Prime Minister but loves his daughter even more. The point of divergence from our historical timeline is in May 1915. Katheryn sees her work in progress as her version of DOWNTON ABBEY, with influence from the #MeToo movement.
